This beautiful building provides tenants a decent, safe and permanent home complete with community rooms for tenant and community use and a landscaped back patio and garden. Of the 46 units, 27 tenants are formerly homeless individuals with a disability, 18 tenants are low-income individuals who earn no more than 60% of the Area Median Income; a one bedroom unit is occupied by the building's superintendent.
Morris Manor has established a high standard for affordable housing in Brooklyn and for the future buildings that CAMBA/CAMBA Housing Ventures will develop. With Harden Van Arnam Architect's commitment to thoughtful, contextual design and high-quality finishes, the building demonstrates that public and private investment can and will occur successfully in Flatbush.
