HPD Commisioner Wambua Announces Preference for Displaced Sandy Vicitms at CAMBA Gardens -- NYC.gov May 16, 2013
New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) Commissioner Mathew M. Wambua today announced the latest housing development in construction to offer preference to income-eligible New Yorkers displaced from their homes by Hurricane Sandy. Developed by CAMBA Housing Ventures, Inc., CAMBA Gardens will add a total of 209 units of affordable supportive housing to the East Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn through the City’s Supportive Housing Loan Program.

The New York City Housing Authority selected CAMBA Housing Ventures to develop the Van Dyke Supportive Housing Project. The plan will transform a parking lot into a mid-rise sustainable and contextual building with 100 permanent housing units, landscaped areas, and on-site social services.
